Wine

The wine went straight to my head.

A constant numbness and the feeling of you

As I am lying here on my bed

Don’t know what to do:

           Get up and think

           Lie down and think

                                          (Continue to drink)…

All the while, overcome with dread-

My deadly thoughts

                                Of thoughtlessness

Nothing in my head;

In a daze

Want to forget

Everything that you’ve ever said.

And it’s not like I ought

To remember those days-

They hung on a thread

And you cut the line.

But it matters no more

I’ll forget in time.

My heart aches

But who cares? It only makes

Me strong and wise

And now I can criticize you

All I want, for your lack of

Integrity.

              You said to me:

                                        We could be.

But you lied, and I laugh-

You’re so not original.

And now I try to forget

That we’d ever met

So I can actually enjoy my wine.

“We live in a sad reality that we need to fight to change!!!
There can be no such thing as “coexistence” with a reckless industry that undermines public health, destroys biodiversity, damages the environment, tortures and poisons animals, destabilizes the climate, and economically devastates the world’s 1.5 billion seed-saving small farmers.”

Do you have a handful of old keys — from, say, apartments where you once lived, cars you no longer own, or some other use — sitting in a drawer?
Here’s something to consider making from them: A holder for usable keys or other small items.
Bend the old keys and attach them onto a piece of scrap wood. Basic DIY — find a brief tutorial on the Get Rich or DIY Tryin’ blog.

what a great idea!
